「The Buck Stops Here.」是美國總統杜魯門的座右銘，

意思是「責任推拖，到此為止」。

眾人對政事可以推卸責任，互踢皮球，但到了他身上，無可推卸。

杜魯門總統還有另一句名言：

「If you can not stand the heat，stay out of the kitchen.」
（怕熱就不要進廚房，哪邊涼快哪邊去。）
