Over the past two years, you've had taskmaster Saturn square your Gemini and now you will have Saturn trine your Sun. You may be humming, "You say toMAYto, and I say toMAHto - let's call the whole thing off!" You are so cute, Gemini. You have no idea what I am talking about, so let me explain.

When you had a big Saturn square your Sun, that was tough because Saturn was hitting your Sun at a sharp angle, one known to create obstacles. Soon you will have Saturn TRINE your Sun, and that's completely different - and quite excellent - because Saturn will be hitting your Sun at a benefic, strengthening 120-degree angle. That's a really sweet change! The word "trine" comes from the word "triangle" - the most heavenly aspect possible. This means that instead of testing you (as he has over the past two years), Saturn will start helping you. Indeed, as far as your sign is concerned, Saturn will have a total personality makeover and will suddenly start helping you for a change, not challenge you so much!

You will start to notice a difference once Saturn moves from earth sign Virgo to air sign Libra on October 29. Admittedly, Saturn will be back to Virgo this coming spring, from April 7 to July 21, a period of only 14 weeks. After that phase is over, Saturn will be done for good, and you can rest. He takes 29 years to circle the zodiac, so he won't be back to your home sector anytime soon.

From early April to late July, Saturn will concentrate mainly on those Gemini born at the very end of the sign, June 18 to 21. If your birthday was named, don't be blue - Gemini born prior to June 17 already had nine months of direct attention from Saturn during its more than two-year stay, and you had about six months of one-on-one time with him. Saturn is simply coming back to finish off your tour of duty, that's all. Actually, by April 2010, you will have had a six-month rest from his challenges and you will find the finish up the tour easier.

Gemini hosted Saturn in your solar fourth house of home since September 2007 and that phase is now ending. For some Gemini, over the past two years, family news or responsibilities proved to be heavy and you may have had to help out. For other Gemini, the global housing crisis created a crisis in your personal life, and you had to quickly find ways to cope. Saturn teaches us that we are stronger than we assume, and more resourceful, too. In another instance, you may have found a house you bought to be a quite burden to pay for under this trend, but happily, you will find that this same house (if you still own it) will be easier to handle after you pass October 29. In fact you may not feel any burden at all. You are about to enter a fantastic career phase in 2010, so your income may soon go up dramatically, and may be the reason you will find the housing situation easing. Of course, there are many possible reasons, but that could be one. As you see, you have much to be excited about!

Aside from Saturn's move out of Virgo, there will be a big emphasis on your personal life and on socializing in October. Let's now look at what is due this month.

The full moon on October 4 (plus or minus four days) will likely put you among many friendly people who will be having fun - just like you. This will be a very lively, social full moon, and you will be able to meet and greet quite a number of people you don't know. You may be going to a wedding, reunion, charity benefit, or even a business-related event, but whatever it is, it has a luxurious, pampering feel to it. This full moon will fall in Aries and light your solar eleventh house of hopes and wishes, so the experience may feel new and different in some way. You seem to eagerly look forward to this event, for your hunger for change and excitement - even adventure - will be at a very high level. How wonderful! After having had such a stressful September, this early-October event will be deliciously welcome and could go a long way to help you forget some of the difficulties you faced last month. At the same time, Mars will be beautifully angled to Uranus, so you may score a brilliant career victory at this full moon, October 4 (plus or minus four days), and it may come as a result of your being at the right place at the right time - most likely at this event!

There is one aspect that won't be helpful, and that's Mercury opposed to Uranus on October 4. If you plan to travel to get to this event, plan to get there early. You won't want to cut things too close, as you may wind up arriving really late. Mercury in hard angle to Uranus can sometimes be a bit nerve wracking. Expect a few things to go haywire - especially things that involve technology - and prepare by having a few contingency plans. Don't worry - you will do well. Mercury in hard angle to Uranus has the upside of making one very resourceful and sharp as a tack.

If you were born on June 2, or within four days of this date, you will benefit most from this lovely full moon on October 4.

Fortunately, Mercury will not be retrograde in October, so events will speed ahead much more quickly and decisively than they did in September.

More good news arrives mid-month. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and happiness, will be turning direct on October 13 after five months of being retrograde. This is fantastic news because when any planet is retrograde, it is in a weakened state - a strong Jupiter is what you want and you will have it now! Since mid-June you've not had much help from this good fortune planet, but now Jupiter is about to make an about-face and turn on his power.

You will be in the perfect position to accept Jupiter's goodies too, for Jupiter is in Aquarius, a fellow air sign. Watch for luck with foreign people or international projects in regard to publishing and broadcasting projects, and with academia. Jupiter will help you travel, too - possibly quite far - or host people from afar in your city. You need to add a few days before and after October 13, so watch all the days that circle Jupiter's turn direct, from October 9 to 16. You should get clues about just how much better life will soon become.

On top of this, the weekend of October 10-11 should be absolutely spectacular, as Jupiter will send a direct beam to the Sun, making this one of the happiest days of the month. If you were born on June 7 or have planets at 17 degrees Gemini, Aquarius, or Libra, you will get a double dip of luck. (Have your chart done by me by going to and reading the directions there.)

If you have been working on one project and not seeing much progress, or if you have been laying the groundwork and waiting to see things take off, either way, hold on to your hat! You are about to fly very, very high. Many Gemini write for a living or do very well in life working in radio, TV, Internet, gaming, telecommunications, or travel industries, and if that's you, you may have a juicy offer fall into your lap.

You will also do well with academic pursuits. I recently saw a news report that said that these days colleges have many more applicants than they have spaces, and that many would-be students were being turned away. Many wanted to go back to college due to the very tough economic times the world has fallen into. If you have been frustrated by a lack of financial aid or were turned away from your favorite institution, see if you can file an appeal. Or, think of another college where you can apply, for you have a stunningly special chart for a breakthrough, starting in mid-October.

Now let's look at your financial situation, which seems to have been very difficult lately but that will be due for better days soon. For your recent cash gyrations, blame Mars, now in Cancer, as well as July's lunar and solar eclipses in Cancer and Capricorn. You are finding yourself in a period of financial reorganization, so stay calm - you will have an opportunity to gain a new source of income very soon.

When it comes to news about money, watch October 14 and the days surrounding this date, for Mars will reach 29 degrees Cancer, the same mathematical degree as the solar eclipse of July 21. That eclipse was to dry up one source of income and now, near October 14, a new one may suddenly show up to take its place. Even if you don't seal the deal on or near October 14, you may hear some very exciting news that will let you see that you may have worried needlessly about your financial situation.

Once Mars moves out of your second house on October 16, to stay a VERY long time, until June 7, 2010, you will immediately feel in better control of your cash flow. You've been in a tough situation since July, so this will be your first chance to get on top of those pesky bills, dear Gemini, and that has to be good news!

Once Mars moves into Leo and your third house, you might travel short distances quite a bit - much more than usual. You won't go far, but you will leave home base quite often. You will most likely choose to travel by car, bus, or train, but not by airplane, because the city or town you go to will be too close to consider air travel. Since Venus will be in your house of fun, love, and pure luxury at the same time, you are likely to enjoy very much the travels you do take in the second half of October.

Thanks to Mars in Leo, you may embark upon a very important communications project - a long writing job, or a new TV or radio show, for example. If you are a graduate student, you will be working on a thesis. It is also possible that your assignment will entail sales, public relations, research, editing, proofing, copywriting, or teaching. As said, this will be a long trend, ending June 7, 2010, almost half of the year ahead, so whatever it is, it will consume you and seems to be new.

You will make your biggest progress on this new communication project from October 16 through December 20 and then again, later, from March 10 through June 7. Mars will retrograde during the interval from December 20 to March 10. Even so, Mars will be more robust in the spring than it will be in October through December 20, so it appears you will be generating steam as you go along - keep that in mind. This month things look good for you, though, so press hard if you wish, for you can make some nice progress before the holidays are upon you.

Creatively, you will be in a very strong position in October, so take your ideas very seriously. The world runs on ideas, and you seem to have an abundance of them. Those ideas can be spun into gold, dear Gemini. It's a fine month to brainstorm and jot down thoughts, even if you feel you only have sketchy concepts at first. Set aside time to think about what you generate, especially after October 18.

Romantically, you have one glorious month in store. It'll start on October 13, when Venus will flirt with Mars in the most charming way. Venus will be in Libra in your fifth house of true love, and Mars, by then in Leo, in your house of communication and travel. Certainly travel will increase romance. You may get a text or meet someone on your travels that you will find very intriguing. If you are attached, you will benefit from going away together. Venus and Mars love to be in touch, but often cannot because they are so often on assignment in other parts of the sky. When they are in communication, that's news! Your next big moment will be the new moon on October 18.
